Happy New Year! What a great way to kick off the New Year with a Blog Train! This theme comes from the new primary theme for 2012 "Choose the Right." This is also my first time as Train Conductor for this website so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Melia and I am the mother of 3 young children that keep me moving all day. As a child, one of my most favorite things to do was to scrapbook so it is no surprise that I would be blessed to be involved in such a great community of talented ladies! To read a little bit more about me, check out my profile on mormon.org. I am super excited to be able to continue the great job that Andi and her team did for so long. I am learning my way around this great train and I am having a blast! You can now follow us on Twitter. Don't forget to "Like" our facebook page and stop by often to see what we are up too. Announcing July 2011 Theme and Color Palette

Thanks to all who participated for the May Blog train. Ya'll are the best! I think it was a huge hit with minimal mess ups on my part! Hopefully now that I've handled one, the next one will be more of a breeze. Thanks for being so patient with me!

For July our theme will be Fisher's of Men. Here's a little information on why I chose this theme:
I read an Ensign article found HERE that I absolutely loved. When we think of Fisher's of Men and the story of Christ telling Peter, Andrews, James, and John that he will make them Fishers of Men we often think about Missionary Work and finding those ready to hear the gospel. But, before any of that happens, he tells them to go throw out their nets. In this article it talks about another possible reason why Christ performed this miracle. Read the article to find a different twist on this story. It's wonderful! The other reason I went with this theme is because my 5 year old comes home from preschool all the time singing a song I will make you Fishers of Men if you follow me......She goes to a Presbyterian school and they have such fun gospel songs. So, it's basically stuck in my head!

The site offers a gallery where you can post your LOs you've made using what you've downloaded and a forum where you can post your suggestions for themes and swatches for future blog trains. It's still somewhat a work in progress but we're pretty excited about it.

Thank you to all the designers for making our 1st blog train such a great success. It turned out beautiful and I hope you all enjoy it :) The next blog train will launch April 1st. Here is a sneak peek of April's theme: If you are an LDS Designer and would love to participate in the next train, please send us an e-mail at ldsblogtrainblog@gmail.com with your designer name and link to your blog and we will send you all the information. The deadline to sign up is March 15th and all previews must be e-mailed to us by March 25th! Oh I just can't wait to see this one all done too.
